Doorstops

It is hard to find a Nantucket house without at least one doorstop, and there are two reasons why.  First is that there are many homes that are still outfitted with authentic old interior doors with latch hardware that frequently blow open and closed due to their light weight.  Second is that regardless of the weight of the door, windows are usually left open in the summer in order to bring in the clean, cool Island air.  With ocean breezes that can be quite strong at times, doors will slam shut if not propped open.   Our selection of nautical cast iron door stops are not only highly functional but also very decorative, too.
